FOOD PROCESSING SPECIALISTS (FPS) is a recognized process authority in Australia, New Zealand and FDA-USA for filing of thermal processes. FPS validate thermal processes for retorts, continuous hot fill and aseptic systems and regularly conducts retort validations and process evaluation trials in a range of retorts using the latest thermal validation equipment.
This program is a valuable educational opportunity for operators, mid-level managers and employees of food processing plants, academia, auditors and government inspectors that use thermal processing. The course is an excellent platform to improve thermal processing knowledge for food safety and quality assurance personnel, individuals who work with Temperature Distribution Trials, Heat Penetrations Trials, Retort validation, UHT validation, Rigid and flexible packaged food products.
Attendees who successfully complete all modules will obtain a Process Authority Certificate from Food Processing Specialists.
Teaching Method
This program consists of four modules, including theory and practical activities which will be taught through live virtual presentations in english with spanish simultaneous translation (optional). The attendees will be assessed via both written assessment and practical demonstration to show their understanding of the key concepts from each module. This program consists of three modules, each of which must be passed before the Process Authority certificate is awarded. A fourth module is optional for those attendees involved with aseptic processing and packaging.
